Beef tongue is a very tender and delicious cut of meat, and here is a super easy way to prepare it using an instant pot. I got this recipe from the Food Chain TV channel on YouTube, and modified it very slightly.
Ingredients
1 beef tongue
1 large onion, peeled and cut into chunks
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Rinse tongue under cold water, then place in instant pot with all other ingredients. Add enough water to almost cover the tongue.
Set to high pressure for 50 minutes. When tongue is done cooking, do 10 minutes of natural release, then quick release.
Remove tongue, let it cool, then peel off the skin and slice into 1/4 inch thick slices.
Serve and enjoy! I love to eat beef tongue with horseradish sauce and pickles.
